• About Linda DePrima

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice with an extensive clinical and institutional background. My specialty is working with adults who experience anxiety and depression resulting from trauma, substance abuse, mood disorders, and stressful mid-life transitional issues such as divorce, grief, loss and illness.

Previously working in a psychiatric hospital, I worked as a clinician in acute inpatient outpatient care both conducting individual counseling and group therapy facilitation. Additionally, I have experience in that critical first step of guiding new patients through the front door of the admissions process. Trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral therapy, I am passionate about approaching my work from the viewpoint of maximizing strengths as the best pathway to help clients navigate difficulties, take charge and become their personal best.

Self-care is important to everyone, including me. I enjoy long walks with my Siberian Husky and love playing golf both here in Connecticut and in Florida. I am also the proud mother of three sons. I received my Masters in Social Work degree from Fordham University in New York and my Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Baldwin-Wallace University in Ohio.
